We have a remarkable history of success – our students’ success for over 35 years! Founded and established in 1984 by Penny Lewis Cert Ed who is still actively involved with the development and teaching at the College.
We have been providing specialist training for those looking to have a career as an Executive Assistant, PA, Secretary, Medical/Legal Secretary or Administrator both as a traditional classroom based Secretarial College and through distance learning/home study.
Initially we provided classroom based courses for local students from Devon with students from other parts of the country studying with us and staying with host families in the 90s.
As we moved into the 21st century, technology moved on enabling us to provide our courses through distance learning/home study opening up our courses to thousands of students over the years from all parts of the UK and worldwide. We were one of the first colleges to provide this.
We have trained over 5,000 students – helping them to progress with their career and open up more job opportunities as well as give them more job security and confidence.
How we look after our students
Our students’ success is the key to our courses – not just in passing exams and assessments and gaining Diplomas but also in moving forwards with careers, getting a better job which is more rewarding and satisfying and feeling more confident in their role.
We are a “people” College. We appreciate that our students are investing their time and money to improve their job opportunities and long term careers and that they have placed their trust in us to help them achieve these aims.
We have always focused on providing the personal touch for our students by providing one-to-one tuition, a friendly and open service helping our students to successfully complete their course.
We endeavour to help all our students have a positive and rewarding experience, enjoy themselves whilst learning and above all complete their course and gain their certificates to help them move forwards with their career and lifestyle.
Who we teach
We provide training for private students who are funding their course personally.
We also provide training for the business sector including NHS Trusts, medical centres, small businesses, corporate organisations, charities, universities, schools, public sector including local authorities and MoD.
Most of our students are working and living in London and we train personnel from many London based organisations. We also have students in Scotland, Wales and Ireland as well as all counties in between.
We also provide training for international students based in the Middle East, Africa as well as throughout Europe.
We are an accredited centre for the following awarding bodies:
- NCFE CQ with over 20 Diplomas and Certificates accredited at Level 4, Level 3 and Level 2
- CPD Accreditation Group with over 10 courses accredited with CPD points
We are regularly inspected by the awarding bodies to ensure all aspects of our teaching and qualifications are being maintained to the required standard.
