I have completed the Level 3 Medical Secretary Course with Lewis College. I have really enjoyed the course and it's content. Some of the content I already had experience with but there was lots I had not done before and I am glad to be able to refresh and add to my knowledge, and also be able to prove to future employers that I am able to do these things - a big tick for my CV! I started this course when working in a call centre which I did not enjoy and wanted a change. I studied a Level 3 Medical Secretary Diploma with Lewis College over 18-months and I couldn’t rate them higher. The support has been incredible and all the tutors have been friendly, supportive and always provided prompt feedback and responses to any queries. The course content was indepth over all modules and covers absolutely everything - having this course and qualification on my CV despite at the time still studying it still led to me getting 2 job offers of a Medical Administrator as well as an NHS Medical Secretary. I loved the flexibility of this course, whilst studying I changed jobs, moved house and went through a period of illhealth which meant there were periods I wouldn’t study for a few weeks at a time, but again the support and understanding from the tutors and having access to the course for 18-months meant there were no concerns in terms of not having enough time to finish the course. If you’re looking at a career change into medical administration/secretarial work, I’d highly recommend this course.

3. Hear from our Admissions Team
Within 24 hours, or the next working day, June from the Enrolment Team will be in touch to confirm your place on your chosen course & your preferred start date, as well as to explain what happens next.
4. Access your Learning Hub
Before your course starts, your tutors will introduce themselves and Simon, our Education Manager, will provide your Learning Hub login details. The Learning Hub is where you’ll access the course from.
5. Study through each unit step by step
Your course is made up of a series of units structured in a specific order, starting with core knowledge and then building towards more advanced skills. Each unit is broken down into manageable lessons, which may include reading, video tutorials, downloadable guides and lesson assignments to help you build confidence as you progress. There is then an assessment at the end of each unit.
6. Submit your work and receive feedback
All lesson assignment work, end-of-unit assessments, feedback and day-to-day support are handled by email. When you complete an assignment or assessment, you simply send it to us by email for marking and feedback. If you would like extra help at any point, we can arrange a video or phone call.
7. Complete assessments with confidence
Assessments are designed to feel like a natural continuation of your learning, not something intimidating. They are based on realistic workplace-style tasks, helping you apply the skills you have learned in that unit in a practical way. We mark assessments as Pass or Amendments Required along with detailed feedback. If amendments are needed, we will explain clearly what to improve and you can resubmit with no extra fees until your work reaches the required standard. You cannot fail an assessment or the course itself.
