Our range of PA, EA, Office Manager and Medical Secretary courses are designed to accommodate beginners, those looking to upskill, as well as those looking for a career change and individuals already in the role looking to gain promotion in their career. So if the course fits, here’s why the College will too…
Fully Accredited Qualifications
Upon completion of our courses you will earn an industry recognised qualification issued by one of the leading UK Accreditation Boards, NCFE who provide both regulated and customised qualifications developed to meet the needs of the business world.
The NCFE CQ qualifications are benchmarked to Ofqual’s level descriptors so you can identify the standard of training included in the course.
As an approved NCFE CQ centre we are inspected annually covering a range of specific criteria set down by the accreditation board as well as requirements set by Ofqual (The Government Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation who regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments).
Earn CPD Points
As well as the NCFE CQ qualification, all our courses also come with CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, a highly recognised method of acknowledging training undertaken and which is recorded on your employment records. CPD points helps to show future employers that you are positive in developing your skills and performance showing a forward thinking approach to your career.
It is well documented on our courses that you can complete your course as quickly as you wish, or you can study from as little as 2 hours per week. But did you know that you can take breaks from your study as well?
Our course timeframes are designed so you can take that summer holiday, have December off to prepare for Christmas or simply take a step back from your studies because work has a specific project that needs to be focused on.
You can mold your study time to suit you, and we will assist you with this throughout the course – you are in control of your studying.
The Lewis College Hub
When you sign up for a course with Lewis College you will be provided with your own account on our private online Learning Portal, The Hub. This gives you 24/7 access to your courseware allowing you to study wherever and whenever you want.
The Hub includes clear and comprehensive guides to help build your knowledge, practical tasks to help you engage with what you are learning, video guides for absolute clarification and learning consolidation, and even audio files to allow you to listen to content whilst on the commute or cooking the family dinner.
The Hub enables you to study how you want to study.
We also have PC and MAC versions of our courseware so you will be well supported no matter what computer you use for the course.
1-to-1 Tutor Support
Whilst The Hub enables you to access content whenever you want, and the courseware is designed to make it as straightforward as possible, it’s always nice to know you have direct support from a tutor. You will be assigned a specific tutor for each unit on your course, and as well as providing comprehensive feedback on your submitted work, you can turn to them with any queries during the working week and they will get you back on track. You can of course pose questions on an evening and weekends too, and you will receive a response the next working day.
If you are finding a specific topic or unit challenging, more than just a query say, you can also arrange to have a chat with your tutors over the phone or via video call where they can expertly guide you in the right direction.
On top of this, our Education Manager will act as your personal mentor throughout the course. He is there to assist with any technical problems, ensure you are comfortable with how The Hub works, and adjust the order of the course if you so wish. The type of queries or requests which may not directly relate to a specific unit.
With all these components, our aim at Lewis College is to provide you with all the benefits of distance learning, whilst providing the same support you would expect in a classroom environment.
