Graduates
Just graduated - or perhaps a little while ago - but not finding your career is going forwards as you thought it would?
By adding some key qualifications to your skills and knowledge base and looking for admin based jobs combining your degree and secretarial/computer or admin qualifications - you will find many more doors open to you.
Every type of business needs admin support - and it is a quick way in to enable you to work in a type of business that interests you and where your degree would be beneficial.
For example - perhaps you have a degree in History - which means you are used to doing a lot of research, checking facts, analysing and so on. Companies such as newspapers and magazines would find those skills useful, especially if you can also use computers etc to a business standard at least.
Perhaps your degree is in Sociology - then marketing firms would find that useful as marketing campaigns need to develop their ideas based on socio-economic facts.
You may not go into the business in the type of job you hope to eventually work in within that particular industry - but at least you are through the front door and part of the team.
