This course is the one to choose if you wish to get just enough to start you working in the shortest time!  

The different qualifications have been selected to enhance your job opportunities quickly and to be effective in getting you working in a PA role!

Studying this course can be quick and enable you to start working as soon as possible.

You can always add more qualifications later on - building and strengthening your CV and qualification portfolio after you have started working!

Don't forget - all of our courses provide one-to-one tuition and careers/job support with our experienced Careers Adviser - who has been helping students get working for nearly 30 years!

OCR (RSA) is an established exam board providing a range of GCSE, A Level, teaching and vocational qualifications.  

OCR is part of the University of Cambridge which is Europe’s largest assessment board.  They play a leading role in developing and delivering exams/assessments across the world, operating in over 150 countries.

Modules

 

Text Production

Developing you skills in producing different types of business documents requiring advanced English and proof reading skills

Word Processing

Developing your editing skills on multi page documents using a full range of Word tools, creating complex tables, documents in columns and leaflets

Speed Keying

Developing your touch typing skills and speed to over 55 wpm

PowerPoint

Creating complex slide presentations using a range of different slide displays, speakers notes, transition effects and animation

Outlook

Developing email, and personal information management skills to help organise yourself and your line manager

Excel

Learning how to use spread sheets to produce statistical information, create formulae and functions, charts and reports

Access

Developing ability to create databases, enter data, interrogate data and produce reports

Duration

You can study this course full-time, or part-time – studying the number of hours per week that suits you and fits in with your other commitments.

We recommend that you study at least 5 hours a week, which can be broken up into one hour study slots perhaps, or 2-3 hours on a Saturday and Sunday if you find that easier.

Some students wish to study as quickly as possible – and complete the course in as short a time as possible.

The choice is yours!

For your guidance, if you study regularly these hours, you should complete the course within:

5 hours per week on average  

7 months

10 hours per week on average

4 months

20 hours per week on average

2 months

 The maximum duration within which this course needs to be completed is 7 months.

The course is put on hold whilst you or the College are on holiday - enabling you to have holiday breaks whilst studying your course.
