Internet Explorer is one of the widest used www browsing programs. It can used to help find key information for research, train timetables, ordering food, buying tickets and so on.
Skills learnt on this course can be applied to other Internet browsing programs to enhance your skills and experience in accessing the www.
Useful facilities include keeping lists of your favourite web pages, using Google to search for information and find websites, adjusting preferences to view the www etc.
There are 2 Levels to choose from. Level 1 is for complete beginners. You can study Level 1 and 2 to study up to a business standard.
Touch typing can be included in any of these courses to help develop your touch typing and speed typing skills. This is a free option for all of our Secretarial Courses.

Level 1
You will be introduced to using a range of features within Internet Explorer to improve your searching skills including understanding more about connection options, access requirements, using browser tools and creating browser settings, developing search techniques, downloading information, sharing information, spam, security issues, safety precautions, understanding laws, guidelines and procedures for acceptable behaviour.
Level 2
At this level you will cover topics to a greater depth to understand about connection methods, advantages and disadvantages, using browser tools, personalising browser settings, controlling browser performance, using more advanced search techniques, identifying information requirements, using history, favourites, bookmarks, links, RSS, download information, share information, submit information using web forms, Internet security, understanding laws and guidelines.
You can study this course full-time, or part-time – studying the number of hours per week that suits you and fits in with your other commitments.
We recommend that you study at least 5 hours a week, which can be broken up into one hour study slots perhaps, or 2-3 hours on a Saturday and Sunday if you find that easier.
Some students wish to study as quickly as possible – and complete the course in as short a time as possible.

The maximum duration within which a single Level course needs to be completed is 2 months.
The course is put on hold whilst you or the College are on holiday - enabling you to have holiday breaks whilst studying your course.
