Overview

This is a short and quick course to cover in Administration enabling you to gain a full Diploma in Administration with the OCR exam board.

Ideal if you wish to add to other qualifications and/or experience you already have or you wish to just study a shorter course.

You would then have the option of adding on further qualifications later on, to gain other OCR Diplomas, benefitting from a 10% discount if you enrolled within 12 months of completing this course.

OCR Level 2 Diploma in Administration

Develop your skills in composing a range of different business documents

Working in Administration

Learn about the role of a Secretary/Administrator and carry out some routine tasks

Legislation affecting the Office Environment

Learn about different legislation affecting working in the business world

Supporting Business Meetings

Learn how to support preparing for a business meeting

Diary Management

Develop your skills in organising both manual and digital diaries

Organising Travel and Accommodation

Develop your skills in how to organise travel and accommodation for business trips

Text Production

Developing you skills in producing different types of business documents to a business standard

Word Processing

Developing your editing skills, creating tables, documents with pictures and how to use auto text

Mail Merge

Learning how to set up mail shots using Word for letter templates and Excel and Word for data files

Duration

You can study this course full-time, or part-time – studying the number of hours per week that suits you and fits in with your other commitments.

We recommend that you study at least 5 hours a week, which can be broken up into one hour study slots perhaps, or 2-3 hours on a Saturday and Sunday if you find that easier.

Some students wish to study as quickly as possible – and complete the course in as short a time as possible.

The choice is yours!

For your guidance, if you study regularly these hours per week, you should complete the course within:

20 hours per week on average

2 months

Over 30 hours per week on average

5 weeks

The maximum duration within which this course needs to be completed is 6 months.

The course is put on hold whilst you or the College are on holiday - enabling you to have holiday breaks whilst studying your course.
